Who can enter?
Students in grades 4-12 in the United States and Canada
Why should a student enter?
The opportunity to be published in our essays and poems book
and have the opportunity to win prize money.
Student awards
Top poems will be published in our essays and poems book. 1st
prize is $250, 2nd prize is $175.00 and 3rd prize is $75.00.
What is the topic?
Each student can write on a topic that they feel is important
to them.
What else do I need to know?
• Poems must be no longer than 1250 words.
• Each Poem must have an original title
• Students can enter only one original Poem
• Students must include application form
• Contest deadline is March 1, 2008
Send your Poem with your name (clearly printed), home
address, grade, school name, school address, teacher’s name
and essay title, essay and word count to:
