EVERETT, WA – September 17, 2007 - Universal Tutors LLC, a
unique
tutoring company based in Everett, Washington that serves
students in
two nations, is pleased to announce its essay and poem
writing
contest. Students in grades 4 through 12 who live in the
United States
and Canada are invited to enter and show off their writing
skills.
The contest is now open for entries and will end March 1,
2008. The
contest is both challenging and rewarding for students, with
three
prizes being offered: 1st prize of $250, 2nd prize of $175,
and a 3rd
prize of $75.
Students will also have the possibility of getting their
writings
published in a book. The top essays and poems will be
published in
Universal Tutors LLC's essays and poems book.
"The contest provides a great avenue for parents and
teachers to
encourage children to write in a skilled manner," states
Mark Wilcox,
General Manager of Universal Tutors LLC.
Students can put into practice what they have learned in
English and
Literature classes, and then anticipate the contest results.
Teachers
can encourage students to enter by offering other incentives
on a
local scale, such as a school-sponsored book of poems and
essays or
special writing prizes.
The essay or poem topic can be chosen by the entrant.
Students can
express who they are through their writing by selecting a
topic that
is very important to them. Only one entry will be accepted
from each
student, and all entries must be received or postmarked on
or before
the deadline date of March 1, 2008.
Universal Tutors LLC makes it convenient and easy to enter
the contest
by placing its contest rules, prize information, and a
printable
application online at the company's Web site.
“Students from any location in the United States and Canada
can enter
the contest from the comfort of their own home, no matter
where they
attend school. There are no entry fees,” says Wilcox.
