SAT
The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is the most important
test that a student will encounter in his/her high school
career. With one-on-one private SAT tutoring, students receive
special attention from their SAT tutor which really provides
them with the competitive edge. Because the SAT is offered
seven times a year, our tutors are available year round so
students can start preparing at any time.
PSAT
The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test) provides
firsthand practice for the SAT reasoning test. PSAT tutoring
is a great idea for any student since scoring well on the PSAT
provides an opportunity to enter the National Merit
Scholarship Corporation programs. Because of the private,
one-on-one atmosphere, our PSAT test preparation instructors
are able to teach, motivate and tutor their students in
positive ways that other PSAT prep courses can not. PSAT
tutors are able to cater specifically to the individual needs
of the student-something that cannot be done even in a smaller
test preparation class. Furthermore, our PSAT tutors
specifically focus on techniques to improve critical reading,
problem solving and writing skills so results are guaranteed!
ISEE
The ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) is an admission
test for grades five through twelve which consists of
standardized verbal and quantitative reasoning tests,
mathematics achievement tests and a timed essay. ISEE tutoring
is highly recommended as it is important to score well on the
ISEE since the ISEE can only be taken once within a six month
period. ISEE tutoring is offered at all times of the year and
our ISEE tutors thoughtfully keep their schedules flexible to
cater to your needs, night and day.
SAT II
Our SAT II tutors are trained professionals who know how to
boost scores! With private one-on-one SAT II tutoring,
students gain an advantage that they otherwise would not
receive in a more traditional setting. The SAT II subjects
consist of English, history, mathematics, science and foreign
languages and our SAT II tutors offer effective studying
techniques for all five subjects.
CHSPE
The CHSPE (California High School Proficiency Exam) offers
students 16 years or older the opportunity to earn the legal
equivalent of a high school diploma. Our CHSPE tutors are
educated on the types of questions that are asked on the CHSPE
and CHSPE tutoring is offered throughout the entire calendar
year so students can get prepared for the CHSPE at any time.
HSPT
The HSPT (High School Placement Test) is administered to
eighth graders for placement in the 9th grade. The test is
utilized by Catholic schools to evaluate applicants from
various middle schools. Our HSPT tutors have mastered the five
multiple choice sections that are tested on the HSPT: verbal
skills, quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, and
language; and will implement various techniques in their HSPT
tutoring to ensure successful results. HSPT test preparation
is offered year round so that students can begin preparation
at any time of year.
ERB/CTP 4
The ERB/CTP 4 (Comprehensive Testing Program, 4th Edition) is
a series of assessment tests evaluating student performance in
key areas of school achievement: vocabulary, reading, writing,
and mathematics. ERB/CTP 4 tutoring is offered year round so
that students can receive tutoring at their convenience. ERB/CTP
4 test prep is offered year round so that students can begin
preparation at any time of year.
ACT
Our ACT tutors are trained professionals who know how to boost
scores! The ACT is a multiple choice test covering four areas
of English, mathematics, reading and science and our ACT
tutors offer effective and motivational studying techniques
for all four subjects. With private one-on-one ACT tutoring,
students gain an advantage that they otherwise would not
receive in a more traditional setting. Furthermore, ACT tutors
are able to cater specifically to the individual needs of the
student-something that cannot be done even in a smaller test
preparation class. The ACT is offered five times a year so our
ACT tutors are prepared year round to provide students with
effective one-on-one ACT tutoring.
GED
GED (General Education Development Test) tutoring is offered
year round so that students who have not received a high
school diploma can prepare to pass this exam and certify they
have attained high school level academic skills and knowledge
nonetheless. Our GED tutors have mastered the five tests that
the GED covers, including language arts - writing, social
studies, science, language arts - reading and mathematics, and
are trained to tutor their students effectively. GED test
preparation is offered year round so that students may begin
preparation at any time.
GRE
The GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) is offered to
prospective graduate students and test scores are used to
supplement undergraduate records and other qualifications for
graduate study. The general test measures verbal and
quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical
writing skills, while the subject tests evaluate undergraduate
achievement in the areas of biochemistry, cell and molecular
biology, biology, chemistry, computer science, English
literature, mathematics, physics, and psychology. Our GRE
tutors have received extensive training on both the general
GRE tests as well as the GRE subject tests, and have learned
techniques that are effective and motivating. GRE test prep is
offered year round and our GRE tutors thoughtfully keep their
schedules flexible to cater to your needs, night and day.
Stanford 9
The Stanford Achievement Test, 9th edition measures academic
knowledge of students in grades K through 12. At each grade
level, the test is divided into specific subjects such as
mathematics, reading comprehension, science, and social
studies. Stanford 9 tutoring is available for students grades
K-12 to help achieve positive results. Our Stanford 9 tutors
have mastered the Stanford 9 examination and have developed
specific test taking techniques that are guaranteed to be
effective. Our tutors are trained to help students understand
all of the subjects of the Stanford 9. With one-on-one
Stanford 9 tutoring, students at all score-levels can benefit
from the targeted tutoring they receive.
WASL
The (Washington Assessment of Student Learning) is used in the
state of Washington. Students in third through eighth grade,
in Washington's public schools take the WASL reading and
mathematics sections. In addition, fifth and eighth graders
are required to take the science section, and fourth and
seventh graders also take the writing section. Tenth graders
are tested in all four sections. For the Class of 2008 and
beyond, the WASL is a graduation requirement. The state-level
WASL assessment includes multiple-choice, short-answer, essay,
and problem solving tasks. Our WASL tutors have mastered the
tests that the WASL covers, including reading and mathematics,
and are trained to tutor their students effectively. WASL test
preparation is offered year round so that students may begin
preparation at any time.
